The IndustryFusion Foundation

Based on the long-standing and close cooperation of machine and plant manufacturers, component manufacturers, software developers as well as representatives from science and politics in the association Industry Business Network 4.0 e.V., the IndustryFusion Foundation was founded on July 27, 2020 in St. Gallen (Switzerland).

The Foundation is intended to create the foundations for digitalization and networking of European industry through open standards and reference implementations (open source) and to ensure their continuous further development.

Goals of the IndustryFusion Foundation

The Foundation's overarching goals are represented by the following guiding principles:

Networking

To create a simple, open and for all applicable Industrie 4.0 networking solution (open source) that enables the digital transformation of European SMEs across the board.

Resilience

To enable European SMEs to autonomously build digital business models in order to participate globally competitively in the "new economy" as well.

Climate protection

To make industry more ecologically sustainable with the help of technology, to promote more efficient use of resources, and thus to make a fundamental contribution to climate protection.

Education

Empowering future generations to master the challenges of the "new economy" in technical and commercial terms, as digital transformation also requires a transformation in mindset, culture and knowledge.

Our guiding principle

Our commitment is based on clear and transparent guidelines: The exchange between science, politics and industry makes it possible to shape the future of digital factories and define relevant recommendations for action. Every company should have the opportunity to build on open standards in order to realize its digital transformation. The impact of digitalization will provide both economic and environmental benefits for European companies competing internationally. The IndustryFusion Foundation is the pioneer of this new industry and relies on the commitment and participation of all relevant stakeholders.
