Focus on sustainability in industry

Exciting round at the association headquarters of Industry Business Network 4.0 e.V.: As part of the Intel Town Hall Meeting, the topic of sustainability in industry was on the agenda in Bad Wörishofen. Various representatives discussed and deliberated extensively on the topic.

The renowned global developer and manufacturer of microprocessors, Intel Corporation, invited to the association headquarters of the Industry Business Network 4.0 to the Intel Town Hall Meeting. The central point of the day was "sustainability in the manufacturing industry" and how it can be incorporated profitably for all by means of the latest technologies for innovative products. Intel is one of the strong partners of the IndustryFusion Foundation, in which the Industry Business Network 4.0 e.V. is a co-initiator. Participants included representatives from the association and the Foundation, as well as experts from Intel Corporation, including Michael Bates, General Manager Energy. "This was a fruitful event and another strong step on our way to promote intelligent networking of the manufacturing industry," concluded Igor Mikulina, President of the Foundation Board and Chairman of the Association.

The focus of the intensive exchange was a six-person panel discussion chaired by Michael Bates and Christian Donitzky, Account Executive Industry4.0 & Utilities at Intel Germany. Johannes Ried represented the IndustryFusion Foundation: "The topic of sustainability already begins in private life. But also and especially in business, it is an enormously important factor in the production landscape. Whether it's a matter of ecology, i.e. conserving resources, for example, or of course also economic aspects in the manufacture and subsequent operation of plants: we are now pointing the way to a positive future," said the Vice President of the Foundation Board. "With Intel as a partner at our side, the topic will certainly continue to gain momentum and produce long-term results."
